Aqueduct Montescuro West for Water Supply In Trapanese Area – Provinces of Trapani, Palermo And Agrigento

The project of remaking the aqueduct
Montescuro West envisages the creation of
two separate branches of pipelines: the
High Branch, which will serve all urban
agglomerations between sources
Montescuro and the town of Calatafimi,
and the Low Branch, that extends by the
Municipality of Menfi and reaches the
center of Torretta, passing through the
municipalities of Castelvetrano and
Partanna. The hydraulic functioning is
always by gravity and the alimentation of
the urban tanks. The more important river
crossing is that of “Belice” River, one of the
largest rivers in western Sicily.
